Unemployment Turns a Corner

With this week's Initial and Continuing Claims report, it appears as if the unemployment situation has begun on it's long road to health. The Initial Claims number is especially impressive.

NOT included in the datasets above are Pandemic Unemployment Statistics, which are measured separately. However, those two show a marked improvement, with a decline of 500,715 for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) and a 474,700 decline for Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation. Both figures, well into the millions, shows there's a long way to go.
